Steep skiable lines are a little difficult to find at the moment, but I did find three nice looking chutes the last time I was up here.
West Chute on the right. Middle Chute on the left
My skintrack from the last time was still in place, allowing quick travel to the basin
Looking into the West Chute. The snow was pretty good
Next up- Middle chute. Gratuitous “ski tips in the entrance” shot
Looking up at Middle chute. Photos are pretty horrible. This north facing ridge doesn’t see any sun
Sacajawea kept me company throughout the day
Another cliché, worn out, ski tips in the chute pic. East Chute, last run of the day
East Chute. Cheshire is to the left, just out of frame.
South side of Chief Joseph. We need a lot more snow
Great weather, good snow and three nice lines. Not a bad day.
